Multiple Grammy Award-winner and MacArthur Fellow Chris Thile, a member of Punch Brothers, is a mandolin virtuoso, composer, and vocalist.

Their cutting-edge modern bluegrass is delivered with a deep knowledge of, and admiration for, the work of the music’s founding fathers. It’s a unique sound that has earned three Grammy® nominations and two Entertainer of the Year awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association.

Masterfully blending American musical genres like gospel, jazz, blues, and country, Rhiannon Giddens showcases her extraordinary emotional range and dazzling vocal prowess. Giddens is the co-founder of the GRAMMY award-winning string band Carolina Chocolate Drops, in which she also plays banjo and fiddle. Rhiannon Giddens is a 2017 recipient of the MacArthur Foundation Genius Grant.

The Fisk Jubilee Singers are vocal artists and students at Fisk University in Nashville, TN., who sing and travel worldwide. The original Fisk Jubilee Singers introduced ‘slave songs’ to the world in 1871 and were instrumental in preserving this unique American musical tradition known today as Negro spirituals.

Dan Rather, a long time friend and very generous supporter of the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center has issued a $50,000 challenge grant for the Center! We are enormously honored and grateful, particularly since it comes at a time when we, like many nonprofits, are more than ever in need of operational funds.

Cynthia Perryman’s one woman show, Lambs to Lilies includes 37 brilliantly vibrant works of art inspired by the colors of France, England, Portugal, and Georgia. Her work has been described as Impressionistic oil paintings.
