Masterfully blending American musical genres like gospel, jazz, blues, and country, Rhiannon Giddens showcases her extraordinary emotional range and dazzling vocal prowess. Giddens is the co-founder of the GRAMMY award-winning string band Carolina Chocolate Drops, in which she also plays banjo and fiddle. Rhiannon Giddens is a 2017 recipient of the MacArthur Foundation Genius Grant.

The Fisk Jubilee Singers are vocal artists and students at Fisk University in Nashville, TN., who sing and travel worldwide. The original Fisk Jubilee Singers introduced ‘slave songs’ to the world in 1871 and were instrumental in preserving this unique American musical tradition known today as Negro spirituals.
